Joseph Jackson, president
Hello shark families! I am thrilled to step into the role as PTC president for the 2024/25 year! I have volunteered in the community before, but this will be my first year in the PTC. I am blessed to be supported by my wife Dina Jackson as one of the co-vice presidents. We have two kids attending Sierra this year in the third and fifth grades.  Sierra Elementary has a newer PTC team this year and are really excited to get to work on some of the traditions of Sierra Elementary as well as bring in some cool new ideas. We are always looking for additional parental support so please feel free to email us for opportunities. I look forward to helping all the kids at Sierra Elementary have a wonderful 2024-2025 year!

Dina Jackson, co-vice president
I am excited to join this year’s Sierra PTC as one of three vice presidents. My family and I moved to Rocklin last summer after spending four years in Washington State. We are California born so we chose to raise our family here and get back to our Cali roots. We adore Sierra and the Rocklin community. Professionally, I am a Registered Veterinary Technician and have been for 14 years. I work at a veterinary hospital caring for pets big and small. I am sincerely looking forward to this new school year with my third and fifth grader and all the amazing Sierra families. I am eager to meet everyone and help out however I can.

Shannon McKiernan, co-vice president
I am excited to continue my role as PTC co-vice president for the 2024/25 school year. This will be my sixth year as co-vp, and I'm excited to see what we, along with our Sierra families, all accomplish this year for our sharks! My family has lived in Rocklin for the last 10 years, and we love this wonderful community. My husband and I have a 6th and 5th grader who both attend Sierra. Professionally, I work at AT&T in Product Management & Development. I've greatly enjoyed being a part of the PTC and working to engage with our Sierra families to provide a better experience for our young sharks. I'm energized for a new school year, and look forward to bringing our Sierra families closer together and engaging our sharks in some fun events! I hope to meet and get to know all our new families as well as get to know returning families even more, so please feel free to stop and say hello anytime. I'm always happy to chat!

Marisa Konefal, co-vice president
As one of the Sierra PTC's Co-VP's for 2024-2025 school year, I hope to bring ideas and support to our team and events. With 2 kiddos now at Sierra Elementary School, I am highly invested to create a phenomenally fun and fulfilling experience for our sharks and their families. My daughter will be entering 2nd grade, and my son is beginning his elementary school journey this year in kindergarten. How lucky we all are to be affiliated with this excellent school! I was born and raised in Northern California, and our family has been in the Rocklin area for 3 years. Professionally, I am a clinical pharmacist, working primarily with patients with certain gastroenterology, metabolic and liver diseases.

I am so excited to join the PTC at Sierra Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year. This is our first year at Sierra, with my son starting Kindergarten this year and joining the swimmingly amazing sharks! Looking forward to working with the already amazing PTC team and in connecting with our even more amazing families at Sierra Elementary school. ​
