2023-2024 Sierra Elementary PTC
Board Members
Traci Knox, president
Hello shark families! I am thrilled to step into the role of PTC president for the 2023/24 year! For the previous two years I served in the secretary role. My husband and I decided to move to Rocklin in 2015 after living out-of-state for over a decade to raise our kid, now a 4th grader, closer to family. We are thrilled to be part of the Sierra community. Professionally, I work in the financial services industry in compliance oversight. It’s been a wonderful experience being part of the PTC and helping with school events, seeing the smiles on our sharks’ faces, and meeting so many amazing Sierra families. I look forward to connecting with more families this year and invite you to flag me down at school or reach out via email with your input or any questions. |
Dina Jackson, co-vice president
I am excited to join this year’s Sierra PTC as one of three vice presidents. My family and I moved to Rocklin last summer after spending four years in Washington State. We are California born so we chose to raise our family here and get back to our Cali roots. We adore Sierra and the Rocklin community. Professionally, I am a Registered Veterinary Technician and have been for 14 years. I work at a veterinary hospital caring for pets big and small. I am sincerely looking forward to this new school year with my second and fourth grader and all the amazing Sierra families. I am eager to meet everyone and help out however I can. |
Shannon McKiernan, co-vice president
I am excited to continue my role as PTC co-vice president for the 2023/24 school year. This will be my fifth year as co-vp, and I'm excited to see what we, along with our Sierra families, all accomplish this year for our sharks! My family has lived in Rocklin for the last 10 years, and we love this wonderful community. My husband and I have a 5th and 4th grader who both attend Sierra. Professionally, I work at AT&T in Product Management & Development. I've greatly enjoyed being a part of the PTC and working to engage with our Sierra families to provide a better experience for our young sharks. I'm energized for a new school year, and look forward to bringing our Sierra families closer together and engaging our sharks in some fun events! I hope to meet and get to know all our new families as well as get to know returning families even more, so please feel free to stop and say hello anytime. I'm always happy to chat! |

Karen Levine-Flandrup, treasurer
I am excited to be Sierra PTC's treasurer for the 2023 - 2024 school year. I have enjoyed serving on the PTC board for the past two years and love being a part of the team that brings the community and the Sierra staff together. I also enjoy spoiling our amazing staff members and also making sure our sharks feel included. We moved to California from New Jersey in 2012. I have 4 kids, 3 are still at Sierra, and my oldest is now at Spring View Middle School. |
Kim McCrary, secretary
I am so excited to join the PTC at Sierra Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year. This is our first year at Sierra, with my son starting Kindergarten this year and joining the swimmingly amazing sharks! Looking forward to working with the already amazing PTC team and in connecting with our even more amazing families at Sierra Elementary school. |
